BioA beginning is a very delicate time. Know then that it is the year 10191. The Known Universe is ruled by the Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV, my father. In this time, the most precious substance in the universe is the spice Melange. The spice extends life, the spice expands consciousness, the spice is vital to space travel.

Born in the Nile valley during the Pre-Dynastic period John lacked the sophistication of modern science. He characterised the forces of nature as gods and built spaceships to travel unto them. His travels lead him to the edge of space itself. There he created a distortion of space-time in a region of the universe that linked one location and time with another, through a path that is shorter in distance or duration than would otherwise be expected. He called this the center of being and the begining of all that was light, and all that was dark. For this he was forever known as the 'light giver'.
And how can this be? For he is the Kwisatz Haderach!
